What it does

Lints every SKILL.md against the documented skill format
Catches malformed YAML that makes a skill load with no description
Estimates the Claude Code skill listing budget and warns on overflow
Flags overlapping descriptions; proposes clearer "what + Use when" rewrites (you approve edits)

What it won't do

Edit, delete or upload anything without your approval
Run scripts inside the skills it audits
Replace /doctor or /skill-doctor in Claude Code — it complements them

The linter ran live on sample skills. Behaviour inside Claude (triggering, rewrite approval flow, upload acceptance) was simulated in testing.
